Things to take note for the New Year

To all band members,

Instruments
For your information, a total of 27 instruments have been condemned and also there are many instruments that are spoiled and need to send for repair every now and then.

Please take care of your instruments as the repairs are not cheap. This applies to both indoor and outdoor instruments. Also, please do not try to do anything to your instrument without your SL's consent. You will be held responsible for any damage done to the instrument.

Also, do not attempt to 'fix' any part of the instrument. Leave these stuff to the SLs/QMs. In other words, just take good care of your own instrument. If you need any help, just consult the QMs or SLs.

Stands
Each section has been allocated an official number of stands. Please label it by yourselves in your free time. By 2009, every section will receive an official number of stands that it needs. Any sections that lose their stand would have to pay for it.

Cleanliness
For the Instrument room: Woodwinds, please dispose of your reed cases properly. If you see any rubbish lying around anywhere, please take the intiative to pick it up and throw it in the rubbish bin.

For the Bag room: Also there is always litter here and there all the time. Please do not eat in the bag room. If you want to eat sweet or whatever, please be responsible and dispose your own rubbish in the rubbish bin. Also, guys, if you think you are very smelly after band or any time and you want to spray deo, please do not spray them in the bag room. Do it in the toilet. Be considerate and think for others.
Please do keep the Instrument room and Bag room clean and neat at all times.

Getting items from the various rooms
Lastly please do your QMs a favour and take whatever you need for the whole band practice during the times allocated for you. Please do not make them run up and down for you to take your stuff that should have been prepared when given time.

Lastly, those people that come early for band. The QMs have the instrument room open an hour before fall-in. The least you could do is to go take your instrument and have a little warm-up. Even if it's drills after fallout, you can still leave your instruments in the studio or something. Make full use of your free time so that we can do more during band practice.

Please digest whatever is mentioned above and discipline yourself for the new year.
Please take care of yourself to prepare for the upcoming competitions. Also ask your friends from band to see this post. Thank You!

Happy New Year!

-Majors-
